Things you'll need:
I ususally use Scissors (two sizes for diffrent areas), a razor (clean of course) & bleach (which is optional I just personally thinks it adds more character) to distress my shirts but you can also use a box cuter, sand paper, a seam ripper honestly anything you think will give your shirt/sweater the right amount of grunginess lol.
Enjoy! (:
Now just incase some of you guys wanted to know how I bleached the shirt after I was finished I'll show a couple pictures below.
After laying my shirt on a hard flat surface outside I poured a decent amount of bleach in a small cup mixed with a little water (for health reasons) and literally just splashed little amounts of the bleach where I saw fit. The "splat" effect comes from the liquid bouncing off the ground from impact and landing back on the shirt. Because I layed the shirt on the floor the bleach seeped right through to the other side so less work!! After I was finished I hand washed it and let it hang dry over night.
And here it is!! lol I love the way it came out I recommend hand washing the shirt just to keep it intact longer especially if you decide to bleach yours because the bleach will thin out the fabric. I hope this post helped all my grungy-chic babes out there and I would love to see what you guys come up with!! hashtag #astoldbygen on Twitter/Instagram. Till next time babes!
