Hey babes! I was invited to the Unhiphippie headquarters to style four pieces for you guys. A lot of people are intimidated by “boho” and “indie” styles of clothing and often assume if you don’t already cater to that aesthetic you’ll look out of place but this collab proves that couldn’t be farther from the truth! Life is fun when you push boundaries and it’s to short to not step outside the fashion box!! And I think this look book depicts that perfectly. I love how all the looks came out and I hope you get just as inspired as I was putting these together!

  I hesitated posting this OOTD because the pictures weren’t “perfect” in my eyes. I was scared of what people might think and started to second guess all the personal growth I’ve made and if it was actually enough. In today’s society we’ve been programmed to believe that people we admire always have it all together but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. 

In reality no one has it ALL together ALL the time, life just doesn’t work out that way and honestly who would want it to? I personally think the most exciting/interesting part of life is when we put ourselves in that “bounce back” frame of mind after we’ve experienced a major set back in life. The ambition and creativity that flows from that small spark of inspiration, there’s honestly no other feeling like it and I believe in that place we can be most successful.

 Life isn’t to be looked at as a race but as a journey and on this journey there’s always room to grow and improve, always something new to learn along the way. It’s a beautiful thing that a lot of us take for granted but it’s never to late to embrace it because life isn’t defined by how fast you get to the end it’s defined by how you get there. 

  I know this is super random especially on a OOTD post but I don’t want every post to be this uniform format of me just spitting out links and price comparisons at you lol. It’s ok to be in your feels sometimes and it’s ok for things to not always make sense. I know you babes would understand and appreciate it as much as I do.

  Hey babes! HAPPY NEW YEAR (better late than never right? Lol) Long time no post I knowwww. I find myself getting caught up with life and coming back to the blog with some kind of excuse as to why I haven’t posted and that’s just not cute. So In honor of the new year (January was a trial month don’t come for me) I’m no longer going to beat myself up about the things I can’t control, will I strive for perfection and consistency? yes. But I won’t beat myself up if the universe says otherwise and neither should you babes don’t forget to love on yourself and give yourself credit for the things you’ve already accomplished. :)

  And on that note!! I’m coming at you babes with a new #OOTD. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do a location shoot and I was not disappointed!! This is personally my favorite shoot I’ve done so far and I’m just in love with this location so be expecting a few more posts with this background lol but OK enough catching up (for now) let’s get straight into it! 

                                                 
                                                           

   Now who says you can’t wear all black in the spring? Well...a lot of people do but that shouldn’t stop you from wearing you fav color am I right? This look makes me feel sexy but still really classy and I have to say the majority of these vibes are coming from this adorable shirt! I’ve always been in love with off the shoulder vibes so you can only imagine my excitement when they made their debut again in late 2k17. This shirt specifically is from an Asian boutique called “K-space” (If you haven’t explored the world of Asian boutiques yet please do so babes it’s magical!!) and I got it on sale for $5 and I’m in Love it’s a perfect piece you can dress up and down and I think everybody should have something like this in their rotation. The shirt itself is out of stock but I’ll try to link an alternative!

       Now moving on to my all time favorites my beloved high waist jeans! Honestly I’m a sucker for anything high waist but these jeans are super special to me because they were only about $10!!! Yep read that again TEN FREAKING DOLLARS and you guys know I love a bargain and I could not pass these up when I saw these at Forever21 (I got 4 pairs btw) they’re not the thickest and I’ve  seen better quality denim but for this price you’re literally stealing them!!  

The MOTO jacket (a permanent staple in my wardrobe as you know) and the hat are thrift-ed gems I found about year ago I paid about $10 for both of them thanks to my "thrifting" talents and I know I’ve said it before but thrift stores are the TRUTH and if you haven’t already visit your local goodwill or a mom and pop place you won’t be disappointed. 

  And finally these SUPER CUTE open toe booties I found at a cute Lil’ shoe boutique at my local mall. These are a really close dupe for the Steve Madden cut out booties but with a cute peep toe at less then half the price!! and I love the cut out vibes because you can wear these in hotter weather (which is 99% of the time living in California) so they’re prefect year round. So you can understand why I love these dearly. I’ll link the Steve maddens but just In case you babes aren’t ready to drop $100 on shoes just yet (like me lol) I’ll also link a cheaper alternative.

  Well babes Hope y’all enjoyed this post after my long hiatus lol I’m super excited for all the new stuff I’m bringing to the blog this year (expect nothing but HOT FIRE FLAMES from here on out) and for all the people who come to read and support the blog THANK YOU. I’m still a newbie and life gets crazy but this is something I really enjoy to do and I appreciate all the people who acknowledge that and enjoy my content 🖤

Simple & Neutral (OOTD)

Whaaaaaat?!? TWO blog post in ONE day?? I know I can hardly believe it myself lol I will say though I am a bit of a cheater because I did this OOTD The same day I did my blog *shrugs* I'm only human but anyway! YES babes I'm back at you guys with another OOTD this is a really simple basic look I threw together last minute that I honestly fell in love with.

This sheer crop top is literally going to be in rotation for the rest of the summer! It's light and sheer so the long sleeves don't make it to hot for those hot California days and you can keep it on into the night time, who says you can't wear long sleeves in the summer? I love neutral pieces you can dress up and down who woulda thought it's from Forever21 right? Unfortunately this shirt isn't on their website anymore but I'll try to link an alternative.

You can't go wrong with a pair of high waisted shorts (especially when they're a DIY) I do admit I like them a little more distressed than this so I'll probably be ripping these to shreds soon (not literally) lol but I'm OBSESSED either way! It wouldn't be an official ootd without my Moto jacket!! This is actually a new one I thrifted at goodwill for only $6!!! (Yes babes if you haven't picked up thrifting by now get on it!!)  I know it's summer but I literally don't feel human without my jacket so sue me *shrugs*

And the best for last these booties!! These Camel, square toed, wide heeled, beauties are from Chinese laundry!! They're a discontinued style I was able to get my hands on (fresh out the box) and I'M SO OBSESSED square toed boots are definitely not on the market right now but I just love the look of them on my feet sadly I can't share a link on these specifically but I'll try to also find an alternative for these!!

Hey babes looooong time no blog post!! at this point I honestly have no excuses lol. These last three months (yes I said three smh) have been really hectic and everywhere but I'm back, inspired and excited for what the rest of the year has to bring!! 

 As I have said before you literally can't go wrong with an over-sized Tee. This Tee specifically is very special to me because it's from Drake's summer 2016 revenge tour and if you know me you know I'm A MAJOR Drake/OVO fan (thank you for the hook-up uncle!!). Since this was more of a casual day time date/outing look I went with the low rise booties because in California fall weather is 90 degrees lol but I would dress this up with some thigh highs as well.

None of my outfits are complete without my leather jacket (that I basically live in I know) and some choker action shout out to Gojane for making amazing quality chokers for such reasonable prices (fareal soo cheap check them out!!) but can we take a moment for this Neiman Marcus clutch tho!? FT. Joe the poof ball of course, the opalescent color and chevron pattern is giving me 80's realness and I'm obsessed!!

You know those days where you want to be really cute and stand out but comfortable at the same time.. well this one is it for me!! I am so obsessed with this #ootd *heart eyes* honestly  im just super satisfeid with how my t-shirt came out if you havent already give my DIY tutorial  (click for link) a look!! this jacket has been with me for years and it is everything (I'ts actually authentic with a name patch and everything) & I mean who dosent love camo? Distressed/destroyed T-shirts (DIY)

Hey guys hope all is well (: I'm coming to you guys with a pretty simple Distressed T-shirt DIY project. I've been addicted to doing this to my T-shirts/sweaters since highschool and even though this has definitley been done before I think its worth sharing just one more time for inspirational purposes because honestly who dosent love those sexy grunge vibes? Your favorite over sized distressed Tee paired with some booties and leather?! OMG Just slay me already!!

Things you'll need:

I ususally use Scissors (two sizes for diffrent areas), a razor (clean of course)  & bleach (which is optional I just personally thinks it adds more character) to distress my shirts but you can also use a box cuter, sand paper, a seam ripper honestly anything you think will give your shirt/sweater the right amount of grunginess lol.

I know it would be simple enough to show you this DIY through text and pictures but c'mon would that really do it justice? So I decided to make a quick video for you all (while simultaneously flaunting my new editing skills lol) showing some techniques I like to use to distress my shirts.

Now just incase some of you guys wanted to know how I bleached the shirt after I was finished I'll show a couple pictures below.

After laying my shirt on a hard flat surface outside I poured a decent amount of bleach in a small cup mixed with a little water (for health reasons) and literally just splashed little amounts of the bleach where I saw fit. The "splat" effect comes from the liquid bouncing off the ground from impact and landing back on the shirt. Because I layed the shirt on the floor the bleach seeped right through to the other side so less work!! After I was finished I hand washed it and let it hang dry over night.

And here it is!! lol I love the way it came out I recommend hand washing the shirt just to keep it intact longer especially if you decide to bleach yours because the bleach will thin out the fabric.
