February Favorites '18

Hey babes!! How the hell are ya?? Lol I’m hoping all is well with you guys, as for me lately everything hurts from going the gym *eye roll*  but summer is coming and I’m on a mission!! I’m back at you babes today with my February ‘18 favorites! Granted I didn’t get to do a January favorites so I’ll be combing the two (yes I have that many favorites lol) but I’ll try not to make you babes read for too long!!

SKIN

So fresh and so clean funky facial brush x Walmart
Elf lip exfoliator x Target
Beauty treats lip exfoliator in “almond créme x Shopmissa
ESTÉE lauder Aerin lip conditioner x Neiman Marcus

First things first let’s get into this skin honey! Now I’m a bit of fanatic when it comes to skin care and I’m always trying the newest trends and remedies on the market and for the longest time (about a year prior I believe) the “spinning face brush” was all the rage I mean EVERYBODY had it but the cheapest options I could find were around $60 online and being the cheapy babes I am I couldn’t bring myself to purchase it (I know quality over quantity I’m working on it!!). BUT eventually while strolling the skin care isle in Wal-Mart I fell upon the “So fresh so clean funky facial cleansing brush” for only $6!!! (What a name I know lol). At first I thought it was a scam and maybe the brush head was sold separately but nope!! The only thing not included was the batteries. It has two speeds so it’s perfect for ALL skin types and the Bristles are GREAT quality, they don’t stain or fray and I’ve been using this brush for a little over two months!!

Next up under skin is the LIPS we often tend to neglect our lips and eventually it shows (chronic dry lips/ discoloration) so it’s SO IMPORTANT to exfoliate your lips as much as you exfoliate your face (you should only exfoliate about 2-4 times a week by the way) and these three babies are my HOLY GRAIL first up is the ELF lip exfoliator in the “brown sugar” option. This is THE BEST lip exfoliator I’ve ever tried and I bought my first one abut 3 years ago so this is probably my 3rd one! I recommend moisturizing your lips with a oil based balm (listed in my jan fav post ‘17 I’ll link here) or even Vaseline before using this because it’s a more dense exfoliator so you’re going to need a base to warm it up on your lips but the pay off is so worth it!! If your not into the whole combination thing I recommend this lil baby the beauty treats lip scrub in “almond créme” (also mentioned in my previous post)  it’s also a really dense exfoliant but instead of using sugar like ELF does they use a mixture of ground up almond shells and walnut shells which is just as intense but the almond cream makes easier to apply!

And last but certainly not the least!!! My beloved ESTÉE LAUDER AERIN rose lip conditioner. Like I can’t even verbally explain to you babes how amazing this formula is. I’ve never had anything moisturize my lips so deeply if that Makes sense lol she’s a little priceeeey! About $30 to be exact lmao but it was a splurge moment and I don’t regret it!! As I get older I’m starting to learn that there’s nothing wrong with investing in yourself and it actually does pay off in the end!!

Cover girl queen bronzer in ebony bronze x Wal-Mart
Great lash mascara in “transparent” x Target

Now would it even be a favorites if I didn’t bring up some beauty products?? First up my fav that I can not live with out my Covergirl bronzer in “queen” lately I’ve been been on a powder only contour kick and this bronzer NEVER lets me down. I wouldn’t call it a holy grail only because there are specks of gold glitter in it ( not pictured in my horrible swatch above) which is beautiful and subtle enough for me to wear but I’m a matte girl at heart so I’m still on the hunt for its matte twin sister!! (Any recommendations let me know in the comments below!!) But I can layer this without it getting muddy or streaky and it lasts FOREVER. I swear I’ve had this bronzer for like years and I don’t know if that’s a bad thing LOL but hey you definitely get your money’s worth! Pictured Next to it is the iconic “clear” mascara from Maybeline’s “Great Lash” collection and if you’re around my age you recognize that legendary pink and green packaging from a mile away. So drugstore hack!! I actually use this as a brow gel (hence why it’s a stained brown color now) and it’s AMAZING I apply it after I’m done and it sets the hairs ALL day and it gives my brows the more natural effect. I would def say this is the BEST the drug store has to offer as far as brow gel.

MAC strobe cream in "original pink pearls" x MAC
MAC mineralized skin finish in “Shimpagne” x MAC (alternative linked)

As I start to work out and shed those pounds (about 30 down to date YAAAAY *milly rocks*) I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and wearing clothes that reveal a lot of my skin again but as a lot of people know with weight loss and adulthood in general stretch marks are a thing!! For me personally I’ve ALWAYS had them and it’s been something that was tough for me to deal with from a young age but as I get older I realize all you can do is work for a better you and love yourself in the process. So yes I am currently trying things that will eventually make the marks fade but in the mean time I’m still gunna show off and be proud of my body! So when I’m wearing something slinky and I want my skin to glow I use these two babes right here!! I was so asleep On the Mac strobe cream for so long because the original white color intimidated me and I thought it was only meant for a certain skin tone but HONEY as you can see form the swatch above the blend out is beautiful. And paired with this Mac highlighter on the right BAM you will feel like a beautiful disco ball walking through that bar tonight ok babes! This highlighter is in the shade "Shimpagne" which is unfortunately discontinued but "Soft and Gentle" is a great dupe!! Once again these are a little pricey!! But that pay off is worth it I’ve had both these items for about a year now and I’m not running out anytime soon!!

HAIR

Wen summer coconut lime verbena hydration treatment x Chazdean
Wen sweet almond mint serum x Chazdean
HSI leave in Argan oil treatment x HSIprofessional

Let’s move onto the hair I have been LOVING these Wen products I was gifted in the holidays last year and they have lasted me forever!!  First is the summer coconut lime verbena hydration treatment (try saying that three times fast) which I love for my hair extensions especially. It just freshens up your hair and gives it texture especially if you already going for that wet tossed look. I’ll usually pair it with the sweet almond mint oil to  keep it moisturize during the day but this oil is honestly bomb for ALL hair types and ALL hair styles and it smells sooooo amazing. I just need two pumps and my hair will have this amazing shine. I have the travel size (which isn’t sold anymore) but they do sell regular sized bottles that go anywhere from $12-15$ (remember babes treat yo self).

And this last little gem is the HSI professional leave in Argan oil treatment I put this in after a fresh wash and it has changed the game!! I usually would use coconut oil but I find that Argan oil leaves my hair lighter with more body! Fortunately I was gifted with the travel size but a rigidly bottle will set you back $34 and babes I’m gunna go for it Argan oil is amazing for your hair!! And will leave you with the best blow out/press you ever had! Why not invest in that?? Lol

Paris Hilton in “Eau De Parfum” x Target

The scent that I don’t think I’ll put down this summer coming up is the PARIS HILTON “Eau de perfume” scent it smells like a freakin dream and reminds me of the Prada “candy” and I feel supper sexy every time I wear it! It’s great quality but I’ve always been a Hilton fan...erm when it comes to her perfume line I mean lol. The roll on bottle will be about $10 and a full bottle $20-40 retail (I’ll link the cheapest alternative)

Well babes I hope you enjoyed my favorites from this past  month or so  I must admit that was A LOT of typing even for me, so I’m thinking I might move my favorites to the YouTube channel when they’re this long? Lol what do you think? (lmk in the comments!!) none the less I hope y’all found something useful in the blog and even if you didn’t I hope it at least made you realize that you should treat yoself once in a while :) you deserve it babes.

Till next time
